BOB On The Rocks
Backstory:
I am a big fan of the Bottom of the Barrel podcast. I created this recipe with the hosts, Wes Barker and Chris Ramsay, flavor profiles in mind. I did a bit of sleuthing behind the scenes and got some info on their preferences.
Ingredients:
- 1.5 oz mezcal of your choice, I am using Del Maguey Vida (super smokey)
- 0.5 oz Grand Marnier
- 0.5 oz Bourbon Barrel Aged Maple syrup (regular if you can't find aged)
- 1 oz lime juice
- Ice
Ingredients, Garnish:
- 1 giant ice cube
- 1 lime wedge
- 1 luxardo cherry
- 1 toothpick or tiny plastic sword
Method:
- Into an empty glass or shaker add the mezcal, Grand Marnier, maple syrup, and lime juice. Add ice to the level of the liquid.
- Stir until fully chilled, the outside of the container will feel cold.
- Place a single giant ice cube into a rocks glass. Strain the chilled liquid over the cube and serve.
